Young Life begins in INDY
Young Life began in Indianapolis in the late 1960s, thriving mainly in the suburbs. After setbacks in the early 2000s and again in 2020, the ministry faced ongoing challenges due to staff turnover, limited funding, and low volunteer engagement. In 2024, the region hired an associate regional director to focus on strengthening ministry in Marion County. Over the past year, efforts have centered on listening, assessing, and building a vision for sustainable, impactful ministry across the city.
